Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Expectations/predictions
It's hard to imagine, but the final season of Star Wars Rebels premieres tomorrow, (or midnight tonight depending on when you choose to watch the episode). Now, as I've done for the past three seasons, I'm hear to list my expectations/predictions of the season...as well as what I want from the final season in general.
Wrap up the Mandalore plot effectively
This one is pretty self-explanatory. The show has been had going through a Mandalore/Sabine story since season 2. To me, the lore of Mandalore is great but the execution has been hit or mess. Regardless, this subplot starts the season and will probably last throughout the season. You are going to Mandalore, bringing back Bo-Kotan, trying the rescue Sabine's dad, now, put it all together and make it memorable. Also, and this is something I will bring up in my next point, make sure there is no loose ends left untold. Whether Sabine or Bo-Kotan becomes the leader is still up in the air, however, fully finish this story that you've started.
End the show properly and on your own terms
This is the one I cannot stress enough. Dave Filoni said, unlike the Clone Wars, this season will wrap up the story of these characters and the overall story of the show and that he was able to finish up Rebels on his own terms. That's all well and good, but in all honesty, I'll believe it when I see it. I want to see the story wrapped up nicely. I want to see the characters to be a solid place when it's all said and done. Finally, I want EVERYTHING wrappe up, NO LOOSE ENDS at all. My prediction is that both the main plot and Mandalore plot will be finished fine, but again, I have to see it to believe it.
Bring closure to the force users
I mean, I want closure to all the characters, but, let's be honest, for most Star Wars fans, they want to know what happens to Ezra, Kanan, and especially Ahsoka. Many fans want to know, ever since these characters were first announced, what happens to them because they aren't in the original trilogy. Honestly, I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen to the three of them. A lot of people have speculated that Ezra is the character DJ from the Last Jedi. It's a possibility, but to me it's unlikely. My predictions, we will see Ahsoka in some form this season and see what happens to her, Ezra will go off on his own in the far reaches of the galaxy as a gray Jedi, and as for Kanan, I have a feeling he will die, which is sad because he's my favorite character. However, like the other characters, we'll just have to wait and see.
Show us the Rebel Alliance
I mean, yeah, in the episode Secret Cargo last season, the formal Rebel Alliance was formed, yet, we haven't seen much of organization in action other than in Zero Hour. Obviously the Alliance will fight the Empire more this season and we'll see the debut of the iconic X-Wings, but I want there to be more interactions between the different leaders of the Alliance and the main Ghost crew. It is nice we'll be on Yavin 4 this season, but I want more.
